The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a qualified Rheumatologist to join our esteemed Medical Service. This facility is a fully accredited institution providing comprehensive medical and surgical care.
Our organization operates community-based outpatient clinics and outreach clinics, ensuring a broad reach for patient care.
This role is situated within the Rheumatology Department, where the physician will operate at an independent clinical level, utilizing specialized knowledge in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of various rheumatological conditions.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans for patients with rheumatic diseases.
- Perform or assist in relevant medical procedures.
- Engage in patient education regarding joint, muscle, and bone health.
Work Schedule:
Standard hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
Compensation and Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary along with an annual performance bonus and regular salary increases. Additionally, enjoy 50-55 days of paid time off annually, which includes annual leave, sick leave, and paid federal holidays.
Our retirement package includes a traditional federal pension and a 401K plan with contributions from the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Qualifications:
Applicants must possess a full and unrestricted medical license from any U.S. state or territory and have completed residency training in an accredited core specialty program.
Proficiency in written and spoken English is required, and board certification in Rheumatology is preferred.
