Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Care Specialist to join our team at New Richmond Veterinary Clinic. As a key member of our veterinary team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our clients and their pets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist veterinarians with patient care and treatment, including monitoring hospitalized pets and preparing patients for surgery.
  • Perform routine in-house laboratory work, including blood, stool, and other sample collection and testing.
  • Provide basic animal handling and restrain animals during exams, ensuring the safety and well-being of both patients and staff.
  • Administer and monitor medications, anesthesia, vaccines, and treatments as directed by veterinarians.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including exam rooms, treatment areas, and lab spaces.
Requirements
  • Previous veterinary experience preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to work on weekends as required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with veterinarians, clients, and other team members.
  • Basic math skills and ability to calculate medication dosages.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with MS Office applications.
