Membership Coordinator

Job Overview:
We are excited to offer a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a Membership Coordinator to join our team at the Ymca of Greater Omaha. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to all members, guests, and program participants, engaging them by having a general knowledge of memberships and all Y programs and services.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide excellent service to members, guests, and program participants in the Y and on the phone, contributing to member retention.
Sell memberships to prospective members, conducting interviews and/or tours as needed.
Build relationships with members, helping them connect with one another and the YMCA.
Resolve membership concerns and inform supervisor of unusual situations or unresolved issues.
Apply all YMCA policies to support member services, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.
May hand out locker keys, locks, and towels, monitoring the locker rooms as required.
Participate in department and branch staff meetings and/or related trainings.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements and Qualifications:
At least 16 years of age.
Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
Previous customer service, sales, or related experience.
Basic knowledge of computers.
Ability to work independently with attention to detail required.
Complete before first shift: YMCA cause & culture training; membership-specific computer training.
Complete within 30 days of hire: Child Abuse Prevention Training; BLS CPR; First Aid (provided by YMCA).
Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community and successful clearance of background check.

Salary Range: $45,000 - $65,000 per year.
