Audit Manager

The Audit Senior Manager is a key member of our team, responsible for leading audit engagements and providing expert guidance to clients. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
Key Responsibilities- Lead audit engagements and provide expert guidance to clients
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key business decision makers
- Provide guidance and expertise on complex and specialized audit issues
- Collaborate with the audit team to plan objectives and determine an audit strategy
- Establish expectations of value to be delivered and monitor the audit engagement team against the budget
- Identify and communicate relevant trends, developments, and key performance drivers relevant to the audit client
- Develop people by effectively delegating to all levels of the audit team staff and encouraging audit team members to make determinations and take responsibility for their contribution to the audit team
- Foster teamwork and lead by example
- Use technology to continually learn, share knowledge with audit team members, and enhance service delivery
- Maintain an educational program to continually develop skills
- Monitor the audit engagement team's progress against the plan and alter it when needed
- Generate new business opportunities by developing ideas and solutions
- Achieve growth by understanding Adams Brown, LLC and its services lines and actively assessing/presenting ways to apply knowledge and services
- Develop long-term relationships and networks both internally and externally
- Either FASB or Commercial and/or Not-for-Profit experience or Governmental auditing is desired, as is experience in Yellow Book and Single Audits
- A current and valid CPA license is required
- Must be a member in good standing with the American Institute of CPAs and respective state societies
- A Bachelor's degree in accounting and approximately 8 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree and approximately 7 years of related work experience, preferably with approximately 4 of those years as an auditor with a public accounting firm
- Needs excellent project management skills, advanced written and verbal communication skills, dedication to teamwork and leadership and integrity within a professional environment

Our offices are open from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday through tax season and close at noon on Fridays outside of tax season.
