Key Responsibilities of the Speech-Language Pathologist:

  • Provide essential therapy aimed at enhancing patients' speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing capabilities, thereby supporting their recovery and self-esteem.
  • Communicate patient progress and any concerns to supervisors and team members; assist in patient scheduling and ensure accurate daily record-keeping.
  • Document patient care in compliance with regulatory, licensing, payer, and accreditation standards.
  • Educate patients' families or nursing staff on follow-up care programs.
  • Maintain a safe and hygienic work environment and equipment.
  • Adhere to the Company's Code of Business Conduct, Corporate Compliance Agreement, and relevant professional standards and laws.

Qualifications for the Speech-Language Pathologist:

  • Graduation from a master's level program in Speech-Language Pathology accredited by the Education Standards Board or meeting ASHA certification criteria.
  • Fulfillment of education and experience prerequisites for Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology or Audiology as awarded by ASHA.
  • Possession of a current and unrestricted Speech-Language Pathologist license in the state of practice.
  • Experience with Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS).
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Strong organizational and communication abilities.

Additional Requirements:

  • Minimum of six months of experience as a speech therapist or speech-language pathologist, particularly with adult and geriatric populations.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends.
