Overview

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a skilled Stationary Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining our boiler systems, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain boiler systems, including monitoring gauges, meters, and charts to track operations.
  • Perform routine safety checks and maintain logs and records of equipment maintenance and operation.
  • Support the overall maintenance of patient rooms and the interior/exterior of the work environment, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless operations and maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications

  • Thorough knowledge of boiler systems and operations.
  • 3-5 years of general maintenance experience, preferably in a healthcare environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Google Suite platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous boiler operator experience in a healthcare environment.

Licenses and Certifications

  • Black Seal or Blue Seal or Red Seal or Gold Seal at SOMC, RMC, and BMC.
  • Blue Seal or Red Seal or Gold Seal at JSUMC and OUMC.
