Key Responsibilities
  • Field Work: Conduct soil, surface water, and groundwater sampling, USCS soil logging, groundwater monitoring well installation, and operation of various types of monitoring equipment in the field.
  • Coordination and Oversight: Coordinate with and oversee subcontractors, and complete daily reports and various sample documentation forms.
  • Environmental Assessments: Conduct Phase I & II Environmental Site Assessments, and perform other duties as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2 years' experience with environmental assessment projects, including planning, site investigation, monitoring, report writing, and overseeing drilling operations.
  • Must be mechanically inclined and able to operate groundwater pumps, environmental monitoring equipment, and other relevant environmental field-related duties.
  • HAZWOPER 40-hour certification.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Experience with well installation techniques, and groundwater and soil sampling procedures and analysis.
  • Ability and willingness to perform physically demanding tasks in adverse environmental conditions.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Geology, Earth Science, Hydrogeology, or a closely related field.
  • Ability to assess and classify soil and rock samples to determine geologic type.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office programs.
  • Self-starter with excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability and willingness to perform physically demanding tasks in adverse environmental conditions.
  • May require ability to travel.
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.
