Job Title: Staff Physician - Primary Care

Job Summary:
The Family Health Center is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Staff Physician to join our Primary Care team. As a Staff Physician, you will provide comprehensive and continuous primary care to a panel of patients, participating in Urgent Care staffing as needed. You will also supervise the patient care of nurse practitioners and physician assistants, and participate in the development and implementation of a community health plan.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality primary care to patients, including routine check-ups, health screenings, and treatment of acute and chronic conditions.
  • Supervise nurse practitioners and physician assistants, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent patient care.
  • Participate in Urgent Care staffing as needed, providing timely and effective care to patients.
  • Develop and implement a community health plan, working with community groups and task forces to improve health outcomes.
  • Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives, ensuring high-quality patient care and efficient operations.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.

Requirements:
  • Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy degree required.
  • Three-year Residency in Family Practice or other Primary Care Specialty required.
  • Board Eligible/Board Certified in Family Practice or another Primary Care Specialty.
  • Current licensure by Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine.
  • Current DEA/MA Controlled Substance licenses for prescriptive authority.
  • Current BLS required.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bilingual in English and another language appropriate to the health center's patient population.
  • Ability to function independently with minimal supervision, and to plan, coordinate, and carry out tasks necessary to meet job responsibilities.
