Tax Manager Job Description

The Tax Manager will be responsible for assisting the Vice President of Taxation in managing the Company's income tax compliance and provision processes. This role will involve preparing and reviewing quarterly and annual tax provisions, supporting internal and external auditors, and maintaining ongoing review of Company tax positions to ensure compliance with tax laws and ASC 740.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and/or review quarterly and annual tax provisions.
  • Support internal and external auditors through their quarterly reviews and annual audits of our tax provision and processes.
  • Maintain ongoing review of Company tax positions to ensure compliance with tax laws and ASC 740.
  • Ensure compliance with COSO framework and SOX over tax reporting areas.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
  • Minimum four (4) years of professional experience in tax accounting and tax compliance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (technical and non-technical).
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Preferred Requirements:
  • Master's Degree in Tax or Accounting.
  • Knowledge of ASC 740, federal and state income and non-income tax regulatory and compliance knowledge.
  • Microsoft Excel, OneSource Income Tax, OneSource Tax Provision, SQL, SAP, Sage Premier Depreciation.
