Job Summary

Las Palmas Medical Center is seeking a skilled Mammo Technician to join our team. As a Mammo Technician, you will be responsible for performing various Mammography procedures at a technical level, requiring no constant supervision of technical detail. You will work under the direction of the Radiologist to ensure the highest quality images and patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Selects and operates equipment, selecting proper technical factors on an individual patient basis.
  • Transfers and properly positions patients for examinations in order to obtain desired radiographic results according to physician specifications.
  • Assists physicians in performance of examinations by mixing and pouring contrast media, administering opaque media, holding and turning patients, assisting in sterile procedures, and other related duties as required.
  • Performs a variety of clerical tasks to include, but not limited to: inputting/editing exams and completion of requisition prior to setting exam to be read.
  • Adheres to patient safety standards as appropriate.
Requirements
  • ARRT registered required.
  • Mammography Registry required.
  • State of Texas TMB license required.
  • BCLS certification required.
