Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Procurement Officer to join our team at Cleanwater1, Inc. in Vineland, NJ.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for directing and administering the Purchasing, Inventory Control, and Material departments, ensuring optimum inventory levels to meet project requirements while minimizing carrying costs and premium transportation charges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, inventory levels, and material usage.
- Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to achieve cost savings and improve quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution of projects and meet customer requirements.
- Establish and maintain relationships with vendors to negotiate favorable prices and terms.
- Investigate and resolve material shortages and supply chain disruptions.
- Implement efficient inventory management systems to minimize waste and optimize storage capacity.
- Conduct annual physical inventory counts and develop procedures for tallying and valuing inventory.
- Develop and enforce purchasing policies to ensure fair, honest, and ethical relationships with vendors.
Requirements:
- College degree or equivalent experience in a management-related field.
- Strong organizational and planning skills with ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with ability to build strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, with experience in ERP software a plus.
