Job Title: Delivery Driver

Overview:

The Delivery Driver is a key member of our team, responsible for delivering materials to customer job sites, operating forklifts, and maintaining the lumber yard and warehouse. This role requires a valid state-issued driver's license and a safe driving record.

Responsibilities:

  • Building loads for delivery and unloading freight, including lumber and building supplies
  • Operating a forklift, with training and certification provided
  • Maintaining a safe, clean, and well-organized lumber yard and warehouse
  • Communicating delays or discrepancies with management
  • Performing other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Be at least 21 years old
  • Read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records
  • Safely operate the assigned commercial motor vehicle
  • Provide a true and correct copy of your Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and a list of violations or the certificate as required by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Act
  • Be physically qualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle in accordance with the requirements of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Act
  • Not be disqualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle under the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Act
  • Complete or have completed a driver's road test and has been issued a valid and current certificate of driver's road test, or its equivalent, in accordance with the requirements of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Act
  • Depending on the truck and/or hauler, you may be required to have a commercial motor vehicle license
  • Depending on the truck and/or hauler, you may be required to have a valid and current Medical Exam certificate or card
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
