Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Event Safety Coordinator to join our team at Truist Park. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our fans, employees, and guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Security Screening: Verify authorization to enter Truist Park property via ID badge and credential checks, and perform thorough security screening of fans, employees, vendors, and guests via bag checks and the use of handheld and walk-through metal detection equipment.
  • Incident Response: Respond to and report all issues or concerns pertaining to security/safety immediately to security supervisors, security management, and other departments as needed.
  • Investigations: Investigate incidents to determine/recommend problem solutions and report via incident report system in a timely manner.
  • Roving Security: Rove throughout the ballpark, plaza, and outer perimeter to ensure a safe and secure environment.
  • Customer Service: Exemplify quality customer service and professionalism in all interactions with fans, employees, and guests.
  • Escort Services: Escort employees, players, coaches, special guests, staff, and visitors as required.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or proof of successful completion of equivalency exam.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of progressive security experience with an established entity or managerial experience required. P.O.S.T. Certification is a plus.
  • Skills: Highly effective communication skills (written, verbal, and interpersonal), ability to stand for up to 4 hours during a shift, and walk moderate distances. Must be able to navigate ramps and stairs. Computer proficiency (minimum Microsoft Office) required.
  • Qualifications: Working knowledge of security search procedures and search equipment (HHMD, WTMD), working knowledge of access control procedures and safety awareness, and an understanding and appreciation for diverse cultures and an ability to work effectively and relate well with individuals of diverse backgrounds.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work long hours, including weekends, concerts/special events, and holidays. The candidate must pass a criminal background check.
