Nurse Practitioner

UMC Health System is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as a Relief Charge Nurse on our Geriatric Trauma/Supportive Care unit (GTSCU). As a key member of our nursing staff, you will provide high-quality patient care and lead our team in delivering exceptional patient outcomes.
About the Role:- Assess, implement, and evaluate total nursing care for a group of patients, in accordance with established philosophy and best practices.
- Relate effectively with other shifts and departments to ensure optimal continuity of care.
- Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
GTSCU is a 29-bed Medical/Surgical unit that provides specialized care to patients with geriatric trauma and palliative care needs. Our goal is to provide relief of suffering and promote patient comfort and dignity.
We are committed to providing a quiet and peaceful environment for patients and families, and our nursing staff is trained to care for patients at the end of life as well as those who will be discharged home or to other facilities.
As a Relief Charge Nurse, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population and develop your leadership and critical thinking skills.
Requirements:- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of [insert state].
- Experience in geriatric trauma and palliative care, or willingness to learn and develop skills in these areas.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
