Crane Operator

The PLR Crane Operator is a critical member of our team, responsible for providing safe and efficient lifting and hoisting services to our customers. This role requires a high level of expertise in crane setup, pre-operation inspection, rigging, and crane operation.

• Assemble and install supporting structures, rigging, hoist, and pulling gear
• Attach loads to rigging to provide support or prepare for moving using hand and power tools
• Connect pulleys and blocks to fixed overhead structures with bolts, shackles, and clamps
• Clean and dress machine and surfaces of parts
• Control movements of heavy equipment through narrow openings or confined spaces
• Dismantle, maintain, and store rigging equipment
• Manipulate rigging lines and hoist to move or support materials, steel, concrete, etc.
• Select gear, shackles, and cables according to load size, facilities, and work schedule
• Signal or give verbal directions to workers engaged in hoisting and moving loads to ensure the safety of workers and materials
• Test rigging to ensure safety and reliability before engaging in hoisting or lifting

• Must understand safety procedures and demonstrate good safety awareness
