Vascular Ultrasound Specialist - Travel Opportunity

This role involves executing a variety of vascular ultrasound assessments, including Duplex Scanning, Arterial Doppler, Pulse Volume Recordings, Venous Doppler, Strain Gauge, Plethysmography, and OPG techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensures patient comfort and organizes equipment for the procedure.
  • Prepares necessary tools and materials in accordance with established departmental protocols.
  • Engages with patients by introducing oneself and confirming their identity through ID verification or verbal acknowledgment.
  • Clearly articulates the procedure and equipment details to the patient.
  • Maintains patient privacy at all times.
  • Undertakes additional tasks as assigned.
  • Keeps equipment in optimal working condition.
  • Cleans and readies equipment for patient use.
  • Sanitizes equipment following each isolation patient in line with nursing and departmental guidelines.
  • Conducts routine preventative maintenance to ensure equipment operates effectively.
  • Records the vascular examination in accordance with departmental procedures.
  • Selects, edits, and prepares segments of scans to visualize both normal and abnormal flow studies.
  • Inputs, maintains, and documents all relevant patient information.
  • Alerts the physician to any changes in the patient's condition or significant findings from the examination.
  • Evaluates and critiques the patient's Doppler results, determining the necessary steps for a comprehensive diagnostic study based on initial requests and preliminary findings.
  • Notifies the appropriate medical personnel of any abnormalities requiring immediate attention.
  • Compares current echocardiograms with previous studies to track changes in the patient's status.
  • Completes assignments within a reasonable timeframe.
