About the Role

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac and Heart Failure Step-down unit. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional patient care and work collaboratively with our experienced nurses to deliver high-quality care.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in a comprehensive residency program to develop your skills and knowledge in cardiac care.
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients with complex cardiac conditions, including heart failure, arrhythmia, and coronary artery disease.
  • Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Initiate and maintain interventions to ensure continuity of safe and effective care for patients.
  • Respond to data indicating risk to individual's health and initiate action to correct, reduce, or prevent the risk.
  • Seek supervision, consultation, and assistance when unable to perform safely and independently.
  • Comply with established hospital and departmental personnel policies.
  • Document patient care in accordance with established guidelines.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
  • BSN preferred.
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) through American Heart Association (AHA) upon hire or within one year of beginning work in the Emergency Department.
