Nurse Director

Nurse Director Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nurse Director to join our team at Atrium Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, coordinating, and evaluating clinical and operational functions of a nursing unit to ensure quality, cost-effective healthcare.

Key Responsibilities:

* Demonstrate and support a professional practice model that fosters collaboration among interdisciplinary partners to achieve high-quality patient outcomes.

* Ensure unit operations and employees comply with regulatory agency standards, policies, and procedures.

* Function as a team member to accomplish goals and objectives of the unit and the organization, upholding quality management, patient care, and departmental standards.

* Recruit and retain qualified staff, providing education, credentialing, and continuing professional development opportunities.

* Delegate effectively by promoting shared governance and developing research to positively impact clinical outcomes.

* Provide and assess the effectiveness of patient and family education, perform nursing care, and administer medications as necessary.

* Participate in performance improvement activities to enhance quality of nursing care, promote patient outcomes, and provide a cost-effective environment for patient care.

Requirements:

* Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing required.

* Current RN licensure in the appropriate state.

* Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.

Physical Requirements:

* Work requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling.

* Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds.

* Must speak and understand English fluently.

Education, Experience, and Certifications:

* BLS required per policy guidelines.

* Appropriate professional certification required within 1 year of eligibility.
