Job Responsibilities- Organize and conduct physical therapy programs for hospital inpatients and/or outpatients.
- Follow practice act, state, and federal laws, and provide current licensure and certifications to the hospital.
- Responsible for professional conduct, ethical practice, and professional growth and development.
- Demonstrate clinical expertise in the principles and practice of physical therapy.
- Maintain current order and/or certified plan of care for treatment and complete appropriate and compliant documentation in a timely manner per departmental policies and procedures.
- Follow CMS and other insurance rules and regulations, requesting insurance authorization in a timely manner.
- Complete annual competencies, demonstrating knowledge in current treatment modalities and procedures, and their safe usage, and report any unsafe conditions.
- Diagnose and charge patients appropriately per CPT and ICD-10 definitions expectations.
- Assist with training and orientation of new staff, students, and volunteers, providing in-services and assisting in the education and training for students, peers, and promoting participation in community health fairs, etc.
- Appropriately delegate, direct, and supervise PTA's per professional license standards.
- Meet departmental attendance and scheduling standards, requesting permission for overtime, change in schedule, and time off, demonstrating willingness to flex schedule in response to patient census, and reporting to and leaving work at scheduled time, reporting these times via KRONOS with minimal errors.
- Attend meetings as required, responsible for meeting department goals, individual productivity, and time management, participating and sharing ideas on opportunities for process improvements, operations problem-solving, expansion of services, and reduction of expenses or improvement in the quality of services, and assisting with marketing in accordance with MMH Mission, Vision, Values, and strategic plan.
- Follow policies and procedures, HIPAA, and Code of Conduct, responsible for other duties as needed, promoting the philosophy and mission of Montrose Regional Health, and performing other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or BS in related field plus certification or Master's or Doctorate Degree in P.T.
- Must be a graduate of Physical Therapy program accredited by the A.P.T.A.
- Must hold current licensure by State of Colorado as a P.T.
- BLS Certification required.
- Job knowledge requires excellent interpersonal communication skills and understanding of management practices.
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and non-verbally in a clear concise manner.
- Administrative and philosophical compatibility with Montrose Regional Health.
- Interpersonal skills and sound judgment necessary to communicate with a wide variety of persons including patients.

Aureus Medical Group - Therapy offers a competitive pay package based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week, with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
