Key Responsibilities

The RN in the Operating Room plays a crucial role in coordinating the surgical team and ensuring optimal perioperative care for patients. Key duties include:
  • Acting as the patient's advocate during surgical procedures.
  • Managing all aspects of OR activities to ensure a smooth workflow.
  • Utilizing advanced technologies and modern equipment to enhance patient care.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program is preferred.
  • Experience in a relevant care setting is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Experience in surgical settings, particularly in General, GYN, and Urology surgery, is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical records.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and on-call duties.
  • Current RN license as per state regulations.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
