Job Title: RN - Inpatient Float Psychiatry (Adult & Geriatric)

Cambridge Health Alliance is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Inpatient Psychiatry Float team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care to adults and geriatric patients in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Job Summary:

The Inpatient Psychiatry Float RN will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients with mental health and substance abuse illnesses. This role requires a strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient care, working effectively in a fast-paced environment, and maintaining a high level of professionalism and integrity.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care to adults and geriatric patients in a locked psychiatric unit
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Assess, plan, document, and evaluate patient care to ensure optimal outcomes
  • Participate in quality improvement projects to enhance patient care and safety
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare team members, patients, and families
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary treatment planning and provide a nursing focus to team collaboration
Requirements:
  • Current MA RN licensure required
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred
  • Current American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers BLS certification required
  • 1 year previous mental health experience in a locked unit strongly preferred
