Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement financial, operational, and compliance audits while facilitating regular audit discussions with key stakeholders.
- Conduct control design walkthroughs, meticulously documenting comprehensive processes, associated risks, controls, and testing methodologies.
- Identify and document deficiencies, addressing root causes promptly, and coordinating regular follow-up meetings with process owners.
- Foster relationships across the organization to act as a trusted advisor on processes, controls, and risks, while pinpointing future audit opportunities to add value.
- Ensure the quality and timeliness of deliverables from the audit department.
- Lead initiatives aimed at enhancing departmental performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related discipline is required.
- Certification as a CPA (or CIA) is mandatory.
- A minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in public accounting (preferably from a Big 4 firm) or in the private sector.
- Proven experience in conducting internal control assessments is essential.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
- Ability to research and interpret SEC, GAAP, or other relevant standards to develop effective testing procedures.
- General understanding of IT risks and a readiness to acquire IT skills.
- Additional certifications such as CRMA, CCSA, CFE, CISA, CISSP, CCSP, CCSK, PMP, CIPP, QSA, CSA, and Six Sigma are advantageous.
- Demonstrated curiosity, efficiency, multitasking capabilities, strong written communication skills, and a proactive approach with attention to detail.
- Ability to balance business needs with compliance requirements effectively.
- Exhibit leadership qualities necessary to influence senior management and secure support for constructive changes.
- Anticipate and mitigate challenges in project management to achieve objectives.
