Position Overview:

This role offers a unique chance to be part of a leading engineering consultancy that excels in providing innovative services across diverse sectors, including land development, water management, stormwater solutions, and utility infrastructure.


Key Responsibilities:


- Engage in the planning and design of projects throughout the Virginia Region, with an emphasis on land development, stormwater management, and utility systems.

- Foster effective collaboration among project teams and various design disciplines to ensure timely project completion.
- Provide critical support for municipal and federal initiatives, including water quality assessments, stormwater master planning, and environmental permitting.
- Assist in the preparation of feasibility studies, design documentation, specifications, and cost estimates.

- Contribute to the development of calculation packages vital for optimizing utility systems, focusing on pump rates, total dynamic head, and cycle times.

- Actively participate in professional community engagements to enhance the client's reputation and brand.
- Mentor junior team members to facilitate their professional growth and development.
- Address civil design needs across municipal, industrial, and commercial sectors.
- Conduct site-specific evaluations, assessments, engineering studies, and design proposals for projects of varying sizes and complexities.

Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 5-12 years of progressive experience in land development, water resources, and/or utility design projects.
- Preferable experience in modeling and designing stormwater management systems.
- Registered PE (Civil) in Virginia or the capability to obtain such registration within three months.
- Recent experience in sustainable green infrastructure design.
- Proficient in supporting Project Managers across multidisciplinary projects.
- Strong work ethic, problem-solving capabilities, and effective time management skills.
- Valid driver's license required.

Preferred Attributes:
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards.
- Ability to thrive in both collaborative and independent work settings.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills with a client-centric approach.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D software, along with Hydrologic, Hydraulic, and Water Quality Modeling programs.
