Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cook to join our culinary team at The Oaks at Algonquin Senior Living. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality food following standard recipes and special diet orders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including entrees, sides, and desserts, to meet the dietary needs of our residents.
  • Work closely with the Director of Food & Beverage and Sous Chef to manage all aspects of food and supply management, including inventory control and ordering.
  • Ensure that all food is prepared and presented in a safe and sanitary manner, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Requirements
  • At least two years of experience working in a hotel kitchen, restaurant, or similar operation.
  • Knowledge of sanitation and safe food handling standards.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong customer service skills.
