Position Overview: We are seeking a seasoned and driven software architect to take charge of architectural decisions and oversee the development efforts of our engineering team.

Reporting Structure: This role will report directly to the VP of Engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The successful candidate will possess a strong work ethic and hands-on experience in developing scalable and extensible systems, with a focus on maintaining a clean and manageable codebase.
  • Provide mentorship to team members, guide architectural choices with a long-term vision, collaborate closely with senior leadership to propose optimal solutions, and contribute as an individual contributor to fulfill the product roadmap.
  • Exhibit strong communication skills and offer constructive feedback to management regarding feature scope and delivery.
  • Assess and analyze performance metrics of both new and existing code.
  • Conduct thorough code reviews to uphold quality standards.
  • Implement proof of concepts for potential new technologies.
  • Assist in evaluating prospective new hires through the interview process.

Qualifications:

  • Essential Experience: Proficiency in Java Microservice Architecture, Design Patterns, Extensible Architecture, SpringBoot, Spring Frameworks, JavaScript, Angular 10+, and MySQL.
  • Preferred Experience: Familiarity with Redis, Docker, JMS, DocumentDB, ActiveMQ, RxJS, Cloud Technologies (AWS), and concepts related to Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
