Job Title: Payment Researcher

UTMB Health is seeking a skilled Payment Researcher to join our team. As a Payment Researcher, you will be responsible for providing accurate research and payment posting to accounts within our SMS system.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Research and post accounts within specified productivity levels.
  • Record log status on log control sheet.
  • Research and post all payments to the correct account number and physician number.
  • Balance, transcribe, and batch log.
  • Identify checks which will be placed in an undistributed account.
  • Identify checks which need physician's charges loaded in order to process payments to the accounts.
  • Post all journal vouchers, refunds, and resubmits.
  • Correct all individual errors when returned by research manager.
  • Phone insurance companies as necessary to obtain information.
  • Adhere to internal controls and reporting structure.
  • Process Remits and work incorrect Errors
  • Work assign Work Q's
  • Bank reconciliation and reporting
  • Verify eligibility and load correct coverage
Requirements:
  • High school or equivalent and 6 months of related experience.
