Histotechnologist II

The Histotechnologist II is a key member of our laboratory team, responsible for performing histological work, including embedding, sectioning, and staining. This role requires a strong understanding of histological techniques and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.

• Process and embed tissues for sectioning, ensuring accurate and efficient results.
• Prepare tissues for microscopic study by sectioning tissue blocks and preparing microscope slides for staining.
• Perform staining protocols as per the request of the investigator, utilizing a range of techniques and dyes.
• Participate in routine laboratory maintenance, ensuring a safe and clean working environment.
• Record data pertinent to histology projects and assist with administrative duties as needed.

• Associate's degree in a biological science or related field, with HT (ASCP) certification and at least 2 years of experience in a histology laboratory.
• Strong knowledge of basic sciences, including biology, chemistry, and math, as well as routine histological techniques.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
