About the Role

As a CBRE Carpenter, you will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance and corrective repairs to various structures throughout multiple commercial facilities. This role is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function, providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the general operation, repair, and maintenance of the building's structure and grounds.

Perform assigned repairs and emergency preventative maintenance, completing maintenance repair records as required.

Build, dismantle, and repair structures, walls, roofs, glass, siding, scaffolding, or facia.

Review assigned work orders and estimate time, materials, equipment, and tools to complete the repair, ordering necessary materials and supplies as needed.

Review construction documents such as drawings, sketches, specifications, and maintenance logs.

Collaborate with employees, end users, and stakeholders concerning work orders, prints, and sketches to understand the structure that needs to be built or repaired.

Ensure that all tools and equipment are thoroughly cleaned, stored, and maintained for optimum performance and safety.

Respond quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed.

Ensure the personal safety and safety of those who are affected by your work.

Participate in all HSE-related programs, activities, and training as required, including incident investigations, interviews, auditing, assessment, etc.

Report any conditions that could result in an accident or injury to management.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED with up to 2 years of job-related experience.

Meet the physical requirements of this role, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.

Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.

Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.

Basic math skills, including the ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups.
