The Role
The Digital Engineering Group promotes a holistic approach to design and construction model-based services and technologies. Our team defines the company strategy around the use of Building Information Models (BIMs), data integration across models and departments, and cultural change across project teams to realize significant risk reduction on construction cost and schedule.
Responsibilities
- Support the successful delivery of Digital Engineering, Virtual Design and Construction, and Plan and Control for Suffolk's West region.
- Develop 3D, 4D, and 5D models for site safety and logistics plans and trade coordination.
- Create clash reports for coordination meetings. Run trade coordination meetings; capture meeting minutes, issues, and RFIs and work to resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Perform design model quality control reviews and create reports.
- Support Plan and Control management and delivery, ensuring successful project team experiences with all approved third-party vendors.
- Support vendor management and billing.
- Collect, track, and report on KPI data.
- Manage scopes of work, schedules, and budgets for Digital Engineering services on projects.
- Provide training and support of software and tools to project teams.
- Proactively develop and maintain relationships with new and existing project teams.
Qualifications
- 4-year degree in an accredited industry-related curriculum.
- 1-5 years of VDC-related design and/or construction experience.
- Ability to read and understand contract documents and drawings, to navigate 3D models, and to identify different building systems.
- Competency with the following applications: Procore, Autodesk Suite, Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam at a minimum.

Working Conditions
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time; talk or hear; perform fine motor, hand, and finger skills in the use of a keyboard, telephone, or writing. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; and reach with arms and/or hands. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee will spend their time in an office environment with a quiet to moderate noise level.
