Job Summary

The Physical Therapist (P.T.) is a qualified professional who directs, supervises, evaluates, and provides physical therapy services to patients as prescribed by the attending physician. This role is responsible for providing therapy to rehabilitate and retrain major motor skills in a variety of healthcare settings.

Education and Licensure
Graduate of a physical therapy school accredited by the Council of Medical Education of the A.M.A. in collaboration with the American Physical Therapy Association or its equivalent. Current, unrestricted license or registration to practice physical therapy is also required.

Experience
At least one year of physical therapist experience in a clinical setting is preferred. Current CPR certification is also required, as well as other health and screening tests as needed by specific facilities and/or regulatory agencies.

Environmental Working Conditions
Our Physical Therapists work in various client facility settings, which may involve exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and other potentially infectious materials. We take the safety and well-being of our employees seriously and provide the necessary training and equipment to ensure a safe working environment.

Representative Duties and Responsibilities
Our Physical Therapists are responsible for complying with ATC policies and procedures, as well as client facility policies and procedures. They develop, implement, and re-evaluate patient plans of care, document services provided accurately and completely, and maintain confidentiality relative to patient care and facility practices. Our Physical Therapists also communicate effectively with appropriate personnel, treat patients to relieve pain and/or develop or restore function, and plan for patient discharge, preparing discharge summaries and instructions.
