CNC Machinist Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team at SCHUNK Intec Inc.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC turning machines to produce high-precision components.

With a strong focus on quality and safety, this role requires a keen eye for detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to maintain the highest standards of workmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

• Independently set up and operate CNC-controlled lathes, selecting fixtures, tools, and accessories according to drawing requirements or existing programs.
• Communicate with supervisors or manufacturing engineers about adjustments in work sequence and non-conforming dimensions.
• Set machine controls to regulate speed, feed, coolant flow, angle, and depth of cut.
• Enter commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control data.
• Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining.
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure they meet quality standards.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in CNC turning processes, including setup and programming.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in machining or a related field preferred.

Compensation: The estimated annual salary for this position is $60,000-$80,000, depending on location and experience.
