Job Title: Associate Environmental Geologist

Job Summary:

We are seeking an Associate Environmental Geologist to join our team. The successful candidate will perform various field and office tasks requiring the application of basic geological principles and fundamental theories.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply available data pertinent to geology and/or hydrogeology, accurately describing and classifying various types of soil and rock samples.
  • Provide technical guidance for stratigraphic and groundwater drilling programs.
  • Conduct soil, surface water, groundwater, and sediment sampling programs.
  • Assist in identifying various types of soil and rock, land forms, and geological processes for use in geological mapping and in performing basic geologic analyses.
  • Assist in geologic report preparation, including preparation of cross sections and compilation of environmental sample analyses.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Geology or related field.
  • 0+ years of related work experience.
  • Familiarity of computer software applications, typically used in geological analyses (e.g., spreadsheets, CAD, aquifer test analysis, etc.).
  • Effective problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to analyze data, draw conclusions and make recommendations.
  • Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
  • Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Exposure to environmental rules and regulations.
