Electrical Engineering Test Professional for Complex Satellite Projects

Actalent seeks an accomplished Electrical Engineering Test Professional to join our team in Carson City, NV, supporting a large satellite program.
Job SummaryThis role involves leading PCBA test and debug at a contract manufacturer and collaborating with the PCBA manufacturing team and the contract manufacturer to diagnose nonconformities, document defects, and coordinate PCBA rework. You will also develop and implement functional testing and PCBA debug strategies at the contract manufacturer, train staff on programming, testing, and electrical debug of PCBAs, and deploy functional testing and PCBA debug at the contract manufacturer.
Responsibilities- Support PCBA test and debug at a contract manufacturer, collaborating with the PCBA manufacturing team and the contract manufacturer to diagnose nonconformities, document defects, and coordinate PCBA rework.
- Develop and implement functional testing and PCBA debug strategies at the contract manufacturer.
- Train staff at the contract manufacturer on programming, testing, and electrical debug of PCBAs.
- Deploy functional testing and PCBA debug at the contract manufacturer.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience with debugging PCBA designs that include microprocessors, FPGAs, power supplies, and/or sensors.
- Experience with circuit-level debug to the component level.
- Experience delivering test solutions to manufacturing facilities.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing manufacturing test strategies for electrical subassemblies.
- IPC-A-610 certification or familiarity.
- Experience testing, troubleshooting, and debugging RF electronics.
- Programming experience in Python, C#, C++, or MATLAB.
- Experience writing software to control test equipment and devices under test (DUTs) using standard software tools.
- Experience designing PCBAs of medium-to-high complexity.
The estimated salary for this position is $50-$60 per hour, based on industry standards and the location of Carson City, NV.
