PT Cashier

Job Summary

The PT Cashier role at The GIANT Company is a dynamic opportunity to provide exceptional customer service and support the success of our stores. As a PT Cashier, you will be responsible for scanning and/or entering numbers on the register, lifting and moving goods, making change, bagging orders, and assisting with special projects as directed. This includes restocking returns, replenishing front-end items, cleaning, and assisting with carts.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
* Operate the cash register, scanning and/or entering numbers, making change, and bagging orders as needed.
* Lift and move goods, restock returns, and replenish front-end items as directed.
* Clean and maintain the store, including the checkout areas and displays.
* Assist with carts and other tasks as needed.

Requirements

* Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
* Must be able to communicate and understand company policies and safety regulations in order to complete job duties in a satisfactory manner.
* Must meet the ergonomic and physical requirements, as well as the physical base scores for this position, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
* Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform this job.
* Must complete the company introductory (probationary) period of 30 or 60 days.
* Must be able to perform all job functions safely.
* Must meet the company performance standards for the job, including regular attendance.

Physical Requirements

* Shift hours: minimum 4-hour shifts or more depending upon business needs.
* Job cycles: continual max.
* Lift/carry: 50 lbs.
* Stand 55%, sit 0%, walk 45%.
* Category IV: lifting, carrying, P/P up to 50 lbs.
* Max pull static: 20 lbs.
