Job Overview

Position: Automotive Service Porter

The Automotive Service Porter plays a crucial role in the daily operations of our service department. This position involves regular interaction with customers, service staff, parts personnel, sales teams, and management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transport customers to their desired destinations.
  • Deliver and retrieve vehicles from vendors and customers as instructed.
  • Relocate vehicles from the intake zone to the storage area.
  • Assist the service department with routine tasks.
  • Welcome and support customers during their visit.
  • Carry out additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

A High School Diploma or GED is required; candidates should have one to two years of relevant experience or training, or a suitable combination of education and experience.

Essential Requirements

Applicants must successfully pass a drug screening and background check, and possess a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record.

A valid Driver's License is necessary (must meet the Company's insurance policy criteria).

Physical Requirements

The physical demands outlined here are representative of what an employee must be able to perform to successfully fulfill the essential functions of this role.

While executing the responsibilities of this position, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and communicate effectively. Occasionally, the employee may need to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required for this role include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
