GasTech Engineering LLC is seeking an experienced Senior Process Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for executing all engineering and design deliverables for our various Engineered-To-Order (ETO) projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide technical expertise and support to the estimating and project teams throughout the proposal, engineering, and fabrication phases.
- Develop proposal and project-specific specifications for the preparation of Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and the supervision of the installation of the project P&ID database.
- Support the sales team in discussions of technical details with the Business Development team and/or clients.
- Develop and update P&IDs for the entire facility for proposals throughout project execution, including line sizes, hydraulic calculations, line lists, logic diagrams, and alarm lists.
- Prepare Operating Manuals, Operator Training Presentations, and Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning Plans.
- Review and comment on packaged equipment P&IDs, including vendor logic diagrams and cause-and-effect charts.
- Participate in model reviews of the plant and provide technical direction and expertise to Project Engineering/manufacturing for work in process.
- Design and size control and safety relief valves, and participate in HAZOP meetings.
- Assist in start-up, commissioning, and performance testing, as required.
- Perform field trouble shooting, as required.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Petroleum, or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent engineering discipline is required, with a master's degree preferred but not required.
- A minimum of 5 years of energy industry experience, with 3 years in process plants, is preferred but not required.
- Excellent technical proficiency with process simulators such as ProMax, HYSYS, Symmetry, etc., and advanced level skills with Microsoft Office software, including Excel, are required.
- The ability to work with minimal supervision and prioritize workload to meet due dates is required.
- Effective analytical and problem-solving skills, a detail-oriented approach, and the ability to remain creative and innovative are required.
- Proficiency in effectively communicating process concepts to both internal and external customers is required.
