Job Overview

This part-time position at Iona University's Speech, Language and Hearing Clinic offers an exciting opportunity to supervise undergraduate or graduate SLP students while assuming all professional responsibilities for client care.

The ideal candidate will lead planning and orientation meetings for clinical preparation, provide direct clinical supervision, and adhere to ASHA and state ethical standards of practice. This role also involves providing direct client services for therapy and evaluation demonstration, as well as mentoring students to develop their clinical knowledge and skills.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team as a Clinical Supervisor. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising SLP students, conducting screening and diagnostic evaluations, designing treatment sessions, and demonstrating effective clinical teaching.

Key Responsibilities

* Supervise undergraduate or graduate SLP students in the clinic
* Conduct screening and diagnostic evaluations of clients assigned following Iona University protocols
* Design and implement treatment sessions for clients, adhering to ASHA and state ethical standards
* Provide direct client services for therapy and evaluation demonstration

Requirements

* Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
* New York State Licensure
* ASHA Membership in Speech-Language Pathology
* TSSLD or TSHH as appropriate
* Minimum 3-5 years of clinical experience
* Maintenance of professional liability insurance
