Job Title: Pharmacy Technician

We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic Pharmacy Technician to join our team at the Hampden County Sheriff's Office. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for the transportation and distribution of approved medications to our client/inmate population while maintaining confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transport and distribute approved medications to clients/inmates
  • Order refill medications and follow up on medication discrepancies
  • Ensure proper documentation of medication in Health Trax
  • Maintain medication carts and manifest all medications for clients/inmates
  • Work alongside the Health Services Coordinator and Nursing Supervisors
Requirements:
  • Valid Massachusetts Pharmacy Technician Registration/License and/or National Pharmacy Certification with experience
  • Thorough working knowledge of principles and practices of proper medication management
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow medication distribution protocols
  • General knowledge of prescription pharmaceuticals
  • Computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to work productively and independently
  • Good physical health necessary to perform job duties and responsibilities
