A global company in New Jersey is seeking a Japanese bilingual demand planning specialist to join their team. This critical role involves developing inventory replenishment models and forecasts to ensure optimal inventory and stock levels meet customer demand.
The ideal candidate will have 2 to 4 years of experience in supply chain and inventory management using ERP systems, along with Japanese reading, speaking, and writing skills.
- Analyze historical sales, pricing, demand data, market trends, and other statistical metrics to prepare inventory requirements forecasts.
- Develop a buying plan and recommend quantities and pricing to guide inventory replenishment and new purchasing.
- Continuously monitor sales, inventory, and buying trends and adjust stock levels to meet demand.
- Maintain data and analytics to refine forecasts, generate reporting, and improve replenishment processes.
- Collaborate with vendors and buyers to facilitate ordering, pricing, and inventory deliveries.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or related major is required.
- Native level fluency in Japanese speaking, reading, and writing.
- 2~4 years of related experience is required.
- Familiarity with Oracle ERP and MRP is a plus.
- Knowledge of demand planning is essential.
