We are seeking a skilled Blender to join our production team at Hearthside Food Solutions. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate blending and labeling of products according to customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities- Comprehend and execute Blend Sheets to precisely weigh and blend products according to batch specifications.
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance on blending equipment and containers.
- Transport bulk products using a pallet jack.
- Conduct visual quality checks to ensure bulk products are not defective or damaged.
- Input data into the inventory control system computer program.
- Read and record product codes.
- Create accurate product tags using the inventory control system.
- Report any issues to the Support Lead.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure maximum process efficiency.
- Focus on product detail and quality.
- Be willing to work overtime when required.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with coworkers and other stakeholders.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- One or more years of experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Food industry experience preferred.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to understand verbal and written instructions.
- Basic math skills, including addition and subtraction.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand tools.
- Forklift experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills.
- Follow all current and future safety policies at all times.
- Participate in all safety training and pass written exams.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times while in the production/warehouse area.
- Report all accidents/incidents immediately to the proper person.
- Provide post-accident drug screening as required.
- Continuously stand and walk.
- Frequently bend, stoop, squat, twist, push/pull, kneel, and crouch.
- Occasionally climb to a height of approximately 10ft.
- Frequently reach above shoulder level.
- Frequently carry/lift up to 50 pounds.
- Frequently use hands for repetitive actions of simple and firm grasping and fine manipulation.
- Frequently use head and neck in flexing and rotating.
- Continuously be around moving machinery.
- Frequently be in dusty conditions and exposed to cleaning solvents, lubricants, and chemicals.
