Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Vascular Interventional Technologist to join our team at ChristianaCare. As a key member of our radiology team, you will provide technical support for vascular interventional radiology procedures, ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.

Responsibilities
  • Position technical support for vascular interventional radiology procedures, including arteriograms, embolization's, drain insertions, and other related procedures.
  • Ensure proper safety standards are met for compliance with departmental policies, radiation safety standards, and joint commission regulations.
  • Operate required imaging equipment using established guidelines and imaging protocols.
  • Instruct students and residents and perform preceptor duties when necessary.
  • Perform quality assurance checks on equipment.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of hospital information systems.
  • Assist in maintaining supply inventory.
  • Assist in departmental Performance Improvement assessments and initiatives.
  • Serve as a technical resource to the full procedural team in support of the physician.
  • Communicate effectively with good interpersonal skills.
  • Act as a team member during procedures to assure a safe and efficient patient care on a daily basis.
  • Demonstrate compliance with ChristianaCare and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Perform duties of a scrub assistant during a procedure, including controlling and manipulating guide wires and balloon catheters, and maintaining a sterile field.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved school of radiologic technology.
  • Interventional radiology procedural lab experience preferred.
  • Current A.R.R.T. registration.
  • Current RTR licensure with the State of Delaware.
Work Schedule

7am-5:30pm, 4 days a week. On-call is 1 day a week, and every 4th or 5th weekend. Must be able to get to the facility within 30 minutes for on-call.
