We are seeking a skilled Vascular Interventional Technologist to join our team at ChristianaCare. As a key member of our radiology team, you will provide technical support for vascular interventional radiology procedures, ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.
Responsibilities- Position technical support for vascular interventional radiology procedures, including arteriograms, embolization's, drain insertions, and other related procedures.
- Ensure proper safety standards are met for compliance with departmental policies, radiation safety standards, and joint commission regulations.
- Operate required imaging equipment using established guidelines and imaging protocols.
- Instruct students and residents and perform preceptor duties when necessary.
- Perform quality assurance checks on equipment.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of hospital information systems.
- Assist in maintaining supply inventory.
- Assist in departmental Performance Improvement assessments and initiatives.
- Serve as a technical resource to the full procedural team in support of the physician.
- Communicate effectively with good interpersonal skills.
- Act as a team member during procedures to assure a safe and efficient patient care on a daily basis.
- Demonstrate compliance with ChristianaCare and departmental policies and procedures.
- Perform duties of a scrub assistant during a procedure, including controlling and manipulating guide wires and balloon catheters, and maintaining a sterile field.
- Graduate of an approved school of radiologic technology.
- Interventional radiology procedural lab experience preferred.
- Current A.R.R.T. registration.
- Current RTR licensure with the State of Delaware.
7am-5:30pm, 4 days a week. On-call is 1 day a week, and every 4th or 5th weekend. Must be able to get to the facility within 30 minutes for on-call.
