Librarian Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Substitute Librarian to join our team at the City of Livonia, MI. As a Substitute Librarian, you will be responsible for providing professional library services to our patrons, including general reference work, readers' advisory service, and use of audio-visual materials.

• Assist patrons in the use of the library, including electronic library services such as CD-ROM, library catalog, or Internet searches.
• Perform general reference desk duties, including answering questions and providing information to patrons.
• Supervise a small staff of clerical and paraprofessional employees, as needed.

• Be a citizen of the United States, or a resident alien with the right to work in the United States.
• Possess a Master's Degree in Library Science from an American Library Association accredited university, or be a current student with nine (9) credit hours in a Masters of Library Science curriculum at an American library Association accredited university.
