Rural Mail Courier

The USPS is seeking a skilled and reliable individual to join their team as a Rural Carrier Associate. This role involves delivering mail and packages to customers in rural areas, providing exceptional customer service, and navigating uneven terrain.

• Casework: Sort and deliver mail along a prescribed rural route using a vehicle.
• Customer Service: Provide customers on the route with a variety of services, including package delivery and pickup.
• Mail Collection: Collect monies and receipt for accountable mail, and return undelivered mail to the post office.
• Record Keeping: Prepare a daily trip report and maintain a list of customers on the route.

The estimated annual salary for this position is $62,844 - $82,639, depending on location and experience.

To be successful in this role, you should possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills. You must also be able to lift up to 70 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.

This position requires working outdoors in a rural setting, often in inclement weather. You will need to navigate uneven terrain and work at heights.
