Job Title: Physical Therapy Aide

Pleasanton Physical Therapy Services, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Physical Therapy Aide to join our team. As a Physical Therapy Aide, you will play a vital role in supporting the physical therapy care delivery team by preparing treatment areas, patients, equipment, and materials, and performing procedures under the supervision of a physical therapist or physical therapy assistant.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare treatment areas, patients, equipment, and materials for physical therapy treatment.
  • Perform procedures under the supervision of a physical therapist or physical therapy assistant, such as applying heat packs, helping patients onto exercise equipment, monitoring motion, tracking walking time and distance, measuring mobility, and performing prescribed exercises and strengthening techniques.
  • Provide information to patients by answering questions and requests and allaying fears.
  • Educate patients by demonstrating proper use of equipment and exercise routines.
  • Maintain patient confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Provide equipment and supplies by sterilizing and delivering equipment and supplies to the treatment area, positioning equipment for therapist access, and positioning patients on equipment.
  • Ensure operation of physical therapy equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting malfunctioning equipment, and calling for repairs.
  • Maintain physical therapy supply inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, placing, and expediting orders for supplies, and verifying receipt of supplies.

Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week. Flexibility for scheduling is very helpful. Starting pay is $16.00 (based on qualifications and experience).
