Job Summary

Aerotek is seeking a skilled Mig Welder to join our team in a structural fabrication role. As a Mig Welder, you will be responsible for welding steel structural parts as specified per drawings or prints.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welding Steel Structural Parts: Weld steel structural parts as specified per drawings or prints, ensuring high-quality and precision.
  • MIG Welding Experience: Possess MIG welding experience and ability to pass 1G Weld Test and 2G Weld Test within 6 months.
  • Structural Welding: Have experience in structural welding on aluminum, metal, and steel.
  • Operational Skills: Operate grinder to prepare and finish welds, and operate overhead flip-rite cranes, transfers, and magnetic drills.
  • Setup and Maintenance: Set up the welding machine to ensure proper welding within specifications.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent and 2+ years of experience in Mig welding.
  • Skills and Abilities: Ability to read a tape measure down to 1/16th inch, and possess strong problem-solving skills.
