Job Details

The Old South Smokehouse is seeking an experienced and skilled Prep Cook to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who can efficiently manage their time, follow recipes to the letter, and meet deadlines.

About the Job
  • We are looking for a qualified individual to assist in preparing meats for our smoker, ensuring timely delivery of our signature dishes to customers.
  • The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work well under pressure, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Responsibilities
  • Manage time effectively to run the smoker for various meat needs, completing tasks such as making sides, preparing next meats for the smoker, and cutting onions.
  • Follow directions and recipes precisely, adhering to quality control standards.
  • Work a standard schedule of 8 AM-4 PM (with occasional later hours) on 5-6 days a week.
Requirements
  • Prior experience is preferred but not required; we are willing to train a dedicated and responsible individual.
  • The successful candidate will be expected to develop a strong understanding of our menu offerings and contribute to maintaining high-quality standards.
Compensation

The compensation package will be based on the candidate's level of experience and skill, with a guaranteed minimum salary of $40,000 per annum. We offer competitive pay to reflect the importance of this role in our kitchen operations.
