Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Equipment Technician to join our team at Coast Machinery. As a key member of our production department, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing our amphibious track vehicles, the Marsh Master.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine preventative maintenance, including lubrication, oil changes, and failure analysis
  • Inspect and adjust trailer brakes, ensuring safe and efficient operation
  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems, electronics, and other components
  • Remove and replace components, such as injectors, starters, water pumps, radiators, and brakes
  • Create accurate and detailed work orders, documenting all repairs and services performed
  • Collaborate with supervisors to prioritize work and ensure efficient use of resources
  • Operate a variety of hand and power tools, cutting torches, and welding equipment
  • Assist in the maintenance, repair, and cleaning of fixed equipment
  • Meet or exceed company safety standards

Requirements:

  • Basic knowledge of vehicle mechanical and electrical systems
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • High School diploma
  • Reliability and a commitment to excellence

Working Conditions:

  • Regularly required to talk and hear to communicate with employees and visitors
  • Must wear protective equipment as needed
  • Requires walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing to a significant degree

This is a heavy work position, exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and up to 50 pounds frequently.
