Position Overview & Requirements
  • Specialty: Respiratory Therapy

  • Weekly Hours: 40 hours
  • Shift Length: 8 hours
  • Employment Type: Travel

Experience: Minimum of 1 year; first-time travelers are welcome to apply.

Patient Demographics: Neonates

Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, RRT, and a valid state license.

General Skills and Work Environment: Experience in a Level 3 NICU Regional Transport Center; proficient in managing bubble CPAP, NIV, conventional ventilation, and oscillators; skilled in utilizing nitric oxide, attending high-risk deliveries, performing capillary blood gases, and drawing from lines.

Patient Ratio / Census: Varies based on unit needs.

Unit Systems: Familiarity with Epic, Pyxis, Draeger, Servo I, Viasys Vela, Sensormedic Oscillator, and Viasys Avea is preferred.

Scrub Color: Gray

Time Off Requests: Maximum of 7 days

Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend unless otherwise specified.

Floating: Potentially to a sister campus.

On-Call Requirements: Yes

Holiday Work: Expected to work major holidays if they fall within the assignment period.

Compliance: Full compliance is necessary to ensure timely start; delays may result in a two-week pushback due to orientation schedules.
