Job Summary:

The City of Stoughton Wisconsin is seeking a highly skilled Building Inspector to join our team. As a Building Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring that buildings and structures within the city meet the required building codes and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular inspections of buildings and structures to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
• Administer and enforce construction ordinances as required.
• Investigate complaints and concerns related to building code compliance.
• Collaborate with other city departments to ensure that building code requirements are met.
• Provide education and guidance to builders, contractors, and property owners on building code requirements.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of experience in building inspection or a related field.
• Knowledge of building codes and regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
