This full-time position focuses on delivering comprehensive clinical services to individuals struggling with substance dependency, including those with co-occurring mental health disorders or legal challenges.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Guide clients through their recovery journey using evidence-based methodologies.
  • Develop tailored treatment plans that prioritize health, wellness, and socio-economic reintegration.
  • Utilize trauma-informed care to enhance the therapeutic experience.

Key Duties:

  • Provide orientation to clients regarding available services and program goals.
  • Engage clients through proven practices such as Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
  • Conduct both virtual and in-person counseling sessions, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
  • Document client progress and maintain ongoing communication to support recovery objectives.
  • Implement person-centered counseling techniques, including crisis intervention and group support.
  • Facilitate psychoeducation on Medication Assisted Treatment options.
  • Promote effective coping strategies and decision-making skills.
  • Educate clients on the nature of addiction and its consequences, customizing interventions to meet individual needs.
  • Coordinate with external agencies for additional support and referrals.
  • Oversee toxicology testing procedures to ensure compliance and clarity.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • OASAS certification as a Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC or CASAC-T) is mandatory.
  • Proficiency in Google and Microsoft Suite is essential.
  • Experience with DHS and EHR systems is preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English is a plus, but not required.
